Pure Project opened their original Miramar brewery and tasting room in 2016. They now have four other tasting room locations around San Diego County, including one with their expanded brewing operation in Vista.
The Beer
The Big Board

Number of Taps
- 19 beers on tap, plus one hard kombucha
- 31% of beers are IPAs, ranging from single to quad
Signature Beer
- Pure West, an unfiltered west coast-style IPA
“What’s the Best Thing Ya Got?”
- I was recommended Common Wealth, the English-style pub ale new to the brewery. It has a crisp biscuity taste.
E-Bay Platinum Reserve
- Batch #7 of Madeline, a pinot noir barrel-aged farmhouse saison, was on tap when I visited. It was off the tap list by the next day, now available only in bottles.
For the Couch
- Pure Project fills crowlers and growlers. They have a beer fridge that includes can 4-packs of their popular beers and also bottles of barrel-aged beers not available on tap.

The Space
Indoor Capacity
- There are about 10 stools around small tables as well as seating for four at the bar

Outdoor Space
- There are additional tables just outside with space heaters
Food
- A rotation of food trucks set up in the parking lot outside. See the Pure Project website for a schedule.
The Scene
Located in a business park, the brewery has a steady stream of people on weekdays. A hard Yerba Mate brewery next door contributes to make this area a destination.
Entertainment
- The bar has music played at a medium level
